Conan is now Free to Play!
Another game goes free-to-play and gamers around the world can rejoice once more. Not only is the Age of Conan free to play but if you log on before Aug 22, you get a set of some awesome in-game items! Awww yeah!

The barbarian army is two million strong!
Age of Conan, the award winning MMO experience set in the dangerous, sensual and brutal world of Conan the barbarian is now free to play! Make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the savage world of Hyboria!
To celebrate the game crushing the two million registered users milestone, all players who log in before next Monday, the 22nd of August, will be able to claim a set of great potions on one of their characters. Simply log into the game and claim your items through the special offers tab in the item store.*
- A Greater Battlemaster Philtre – Speed up your PVP progression
- A Refined Philtre of Alacrity – Improves your XP gain
- A Major Philtre of Accession – Boosts your AA progression
- A Major Phoenix Potion – Helps you resurrect when playing alone.
- A Pharmacon of Avoidance – Improves your dodge ability
There has been a massive amount of new content added to the game since it’s original launch, all of which wrap into the fantastic world you can experience for yourself today! You can find a great article detailing all those additions here on the new official site.
Messengers have now sent word from all corners of the world wide web – Age of Conan: Unchained is a hit! Gamestar in Germany award the game a fantastic 9/10 score, saying in conclusion:
“Age of Conan: Unchained is an MMO after my own tastes with a raw, bloody world, without elves and dwarves and including an item- and combat system in which my skill decide the outcome of my battles and not if I was able to do 15 hours of raiding on the weekend. That’s also a reason why free-to-play players get the most out of this game because in that regard Premium players are not getting a huge advantage. An excellent game!”
James Hall at Gameshard added:
“Its also worth noting that Age of Conan Unchained looks better now than it ever has done… its still (possibly) the best looking MMO around, and the harsh environments are wonderfully rendered and atmospheric. What voice acting is present is still excellent, and has been expanded a little from its earliest days, and Knut Avenstroup Haugen’s soundtrack is as beautifully haunting and evocative as ever.”
