Lara Croft Won’t be Raiding Tombs Until Next Year
Crystal Dynamics’ promising new Tomb Raider game has been delayed until the first quarter of next year (2013). Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher posted a message on Tomb Raider‘s official blog, explaining that Crystal Dynamics is “doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve. We believe this is the right choice and I guarantee it will be worth the wait.” Mr. Gallagher also reassured gamers that the game will be shown at E3 in June and provided a teaser image to whet fan’s appetites.
-Nick’s take: Tomb Raider is looking great so far; can’t wait to see it again at E3. I can wait a few extra months if the game winds up being better because of the delay.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
