Assassin’s Creed Will Continue to be an Annual Franchise
Sick of Assassin’s Creed? Hold the popular belief that Brotherhood and Revelations have diluted the Assassin’s Creed franchise? Well, I have some ‘bad’ news for you; Assassin’s Creed isn’t going to end anytime soon. Ubisoft executive director Laurent Detoc recently told website Gamasutra, “It’s very simple to me: There’s no such thing as not being able to annualize a franchise. If it’s good, people will come.”
-Nick’s take: I love Assassin’s Creed–it’s unlike any other franchise, which is why the yearly sequels aren’t as boring for me as yearly Call of Duty games. I know I’m in the minority, but I actually enjoyed Brotherhood and Revelations, even if they weren’t as exciting as Assassin’s Creed II.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
