Guitar Hero Aerosmith: How To Beat Joe Perry?

Guitar Hero Aerosmith has been out for a while now but it was only last week that I was able to get my ands on my own copy. Thankfully, Santa thought that I was good enough to receive the game set, which comes with the game and the Aerosmith guitar controller. Needless to say, I have been spending a lot of my time on the game – trying to finish it before I need to get back to the old grind at work.
What can I say about the game except that it is as much fun as the other Guitar Hero versions BUT it is probably even more fun because of the fact that you get to play the set lists of Aerosmith! There are snippets of interviews in between the songs and levels and if you are really an Aerosmith fan, then this game would be totally worth your while.
I only have two complaints. One, the game is way too short – I think I am almost at the end. Two, the battle with Joe Perry is way too hard. I am playing on easy and I just can’t beat the guy! The bad thing is that you have to get past this battle – beat Joe Perry – in order to move on to the final songs.
I have been looking online on how to beat him and though there are a lot of people offering tips and tricks, it basically boils down to one thing – you have to have near perfect timing. Anyone else have other tricks that can be helpful?
