Xbox Live Update Preview Program
More news about the full update featuring Twitter, Facebook, and Last Fm. The Xbox Live Update Preview Program is basically a round of open beta testing, allowing (invited) users a chance to screw around with the update before its official release.

The initial wave of invites will be sent out following a partial update, with the second wave following soon after, and all those who don’t receive invites soon will over the coming days.
While I wasn’t one of the lucky few to receive an invite, reports of all kinds are coming in. Some of these reports are praising the update as one of the best things Microsoft has done for 360 owners, while others are damning the update calling clunky and irritating.

Only the coming weeks and months will truly determine how people feel about these new features. I’ll have more on this as soon as I receive my invite, unfortunately I’ll have to reactivate my Facebook account, but I’m willing to make that sacrifice for you folks.
