“House Of The Dead: Overkill” Most Profane

If there is one thing that a lot of people can agree on with regard to video games, it could very well be that a considerable number of them seem to have an affinity for the profane. While I am sure that there would be people who would jump up and disagree with me, I am willing to bet (a lot) that if we gathered hard and raw data, we would find a lot of profane video games.
And it seems that the people behind the Guinness World Book of Records were thinking along the same lines. They came up with a record for the most profane video game –ever. The title has given the winner away – House Of The Dead: Overkill. Based on the name of the game itself, I don’t think that anyone would be surprised. Dead? Overkill? That reeks of something profane, doesn’t it?
But here is the real surprise. The game was designed for the Wii!!! Yep, the console that is supposed to bring family friendly games. The console that is supposed to be for everyone, for people of all ages. Yes, it is this console that the most profane video game was made for.
And just how profane is the most profane video game of all time? The Guinness World Book of Records counted the number of times that the F-word was used and they came up with a grand total of 189. While this might not seem much, it accounts for 3 percent of all the words spoken in the entire game.
Needless to say, it will not be on parents’ list of video games for the Wii.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
