It’s All About The Music

Video games have really reached dizzying heights in the sense that they now encompass so many things.  From shooting games to dance games to sports – you can find any topic or hobby turned into a video game and music is proving to be one of the most popular subjects of all time.

You have heard, and hopefully experienced, video games such as Guitar Hero (which has grown from the original version to so many other versions) and Rock Band.  It does not stop there, however.  As the Christmas season fast approaches and Black Friday approaches even faster, we hear so much news about music video games that will be sure to rock our worlds!

Rock Revolution, for example, was recently released.  If the name sounds familiar, then you might still be thinking about the craze that was set off by the Dance Revolution years ago.  The makers of Rock Revolution, a full-band game, are the same makers of Dance Revolution.  Currently, only the game is out in the market for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox360.  Expect the drum kit in November.

We also have the Pop Star Guitar, which is due to be released next month for the Wii and the PS2.  For the Wii, I think that a guitar fret is going to be attached to the Wiimote.  Then there’s Ultimate Band from Disney, which is due to be released before the end of the year.

So what is it about these games that attract so much attention?  It’s all about the music…
