War Of Words Over Wii
Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have been sniping at each other over the staying power of their respective consoles. With some analysts questioning the longevity of Nintendo’s flagship console (possibly prompted by MS and Sony), and Nintendo turning it around and saying that Sony and MS focus on a particular type of customer and fail to open themselves to a larger mass market.
Nintendo can safely take the high ground on this one I think with the popularity of the Wii proving that they’ve got it right this time around, though there are worries that shortages of the console will remain in effect until well after Christmas 2007 which could cause them some problems in the long-term.
