So This Is Au Reviour
As I may have mentioned, I have a young son (18 months) he’s lovely really but as he gets older he’s becoming more and more labour intensive. Therefore I won’t be able to post as much as I have been doing in the past.
The games industry is huge, with an immense amount happening on a daily basis. As such it involves a lot of work keeping abreast of the latest developments. When I started writing for this blog I had planned on writing, reading and watching my boy through the day, and playing games in the evenings. It hasn’t quite worked out like that. Not only is it not possible for one person to play all the latest games in the four hours he has free of an evening, looking after a toddler is exhausting, so much so that I find I can’t devote as much effort to playing games as I used to. Kind of defeats the purpose of doing this.
The way I see it I can’t write about games if I can’t play them, and the cost of buying every game out there is quite prohibitive not to mention the time involved. For instance, I still haven’t got Halo 3, I haven’t finished Halo 2 yet, nor Bioshock. I simply don’t have time to play them and do everything else as well. The necessity of living a life beyond games precludes my gaming for a living unfortunately.
Not to worry though, I will be returning to these pages in future when the muse strikes me. bringing you moments in my gaming life. So this is not goodbye, more au reviour.

P.S. Having been playing the Hellgate: London Beta in what little time I have for gaming, I can tell you that there really isn’t anything all that new or groundbreaking involved. The shooting classes lack the twitch gameplay that a shooter requires the non-shooting classes feel just like every other MMO out there. Don’t splash out on it just yet, give it a year or so to see if they improve things.
Till we meet again.

Sorry to see you go like this, though I can very much understand being a new dad with a 9 month girl.
I was a pleasure reading your posts and news, thanks for it all!
