Rumours Of New Wii Download Service
Mark Cale, CEO of System 3, has let slip that a new content download system will be announced by Nintendo within the next two months. The new channel will apparently be similar to Xbox Live Arcade in that it will provide original content rather than emulated versions of previous console releases, which is whay the Virtual Console does already. None of this news is official and we’ll have to wait for Nintendo to confirm or deny it.
System 3 is currently responsible for remaking the Commodore 64 classic Impossible Mission which will be available for download either through the new service or through the existing VC system. (From Joystiq.)
