Questions for Hilmar Petursson.
During my coverage of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival I have an interview scheduled with the CEO or CCP, makers of EVE Online. I have a few things lined up to talk to him about but find that I have a space. I want you to fill it.
I’m opening up this space to you, my faithful readers, leave a question for Hilmar in the comments and I’ll ask the best one, I may even throw in a Gaming Moments t-shirt for the winner. Try and keep the questions short, sweet, civil and relatively sensible, this is the CEO of a major international game developer after all. You’ll find out which question I asked when I post the interview, along with the name of the questioner. This will probably be on the Monday evening. If you want a t-shirt you’ll need to leave a real email address so I can contact you for your street address.
The judge’s (ie me) decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No cash alternative to the prize will be provided. I’ve already been told by CCP’s press office that he can’t talk about the World of Darkness MMO so no questions about that please.

Eve online is a perfect game for women due to it’s social aspect and its slow burning nature. Do you think you could be doing more to promote the game to female gamers?

here is my question for Hilmar Petursson:
“Where do you see EVE-Online in 5 years?”
Do you think that Personal and Business relationships should be allowed toblend and possibly blur business decisions you are making or are you one who believes there should be a separation of the two guided by Ethics.
Skelator,
This is not a website about business ethics, why is that a relevant question to ask at a games conference?
Brian,
Thanks for your entry, unfortunately I’ve already got a very similar question planned already, sorry. Feel free to try again though
Mmm… Seems I won’t be the only entry!
Will you ever concentrate on fixing bugs, reducing lag and fixing desynch rather than pumping endless money into gimmicky features and new content that the player base doesn’t want?
Eve has always been about adding new content in the past. Why is nerfing being used to balance instead of adding more content where possible to balance the game?
Here’s the list:
- When will we see, if ever, the Jovians?
- Will there eventually be a North American Fan Fest?
- When is CCP White Wolf going to start to publish EVE Lore books?
- EVE Novels, where are they?
- Would you consider publishing an anthology of all the EVE Chronicles?
- How is the EVE Art book coming along?
- EVE Mobile, just say when?
- How is the avatars project coming along?
And here’s the one I’d really like to have an answer:
- Will there eventually be a North American Fan Fest?
Right, thats it, entries are now closed. I’ll be announcing the winner when I post the write up of the interview. Ain’t I cruel?
