Pollen Sonata Buried, Possibly Forever
In a statement on the Pollen Sonata website, the game’s lead programmer has said that he is leaving the project, apparently miffed that he’s been left doing all the work. This is a tragic day for those who love innovation and originality in games, Pollen Sonata was probably the game that I was most looking forward to this year, there is a PC prototype available but you need Steam and the Source SDK to run it. it was different enough to stand out and be noticed among the hundreds of ‘rinse and repeat’ titles released each year and its soothing music, visuals and gameplay style were sure to be hits with the less hardcore gamers out there. Rest in peace Pollen Sonata, hopefully someone will dig you up again before too long. (From Destructoid.)
