New Releases This Week
More this week than last.
All of these are out on Friday (20/04/07) in the UK, I’m guessing that they’ll be available in the US either a few days before or a few days after. If anyone can suggest a source for US release dates drop me a line.
GBA
Final Fantasy V Advance. Its Final Fantasy, on the GameBoy Advance, what more needs to be said?
PSP
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Another notch in the MGS franchise, sneaky sneaky.
Capcom Puzzle World. A collection of classic puzzlers from Capcom, guaranteed to have you dreaming about little coloured blocks for months.
Cube. Interesting looking 3D puzzler, vaguely reminiscent of the film of the same name.
Free Running. Based on the new street sport that seems to be taking the world by storm (it even featured in the Casino Royale). Climb jump and trick your way across cityscapes. Originally the whole point of the sport was that you could do it anywhere, now you don’t even need to go outside.
Hard Rock Casino. Its a casino game, with the Hard Rock branding on it. No real money involved though. (Also out on PS2)
SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2. The second outing for the SOCOM boys on the PSP, featuring a new command equity system, and new multiplayer maps and gamemodes.
Tony Hawk’s Project 8. More Skateboarding fun from Mr. Hawk’s franchise.
PS2
God of War 2. Its here at last, the much hyped sequel to Sony’s action slash-em-up descends form the heavens on Friday.
The Red Star. Battle action game set in an alternate Soviet Union with a mix of technological and magical elements.
Coming soon
LOTR: Shadows of Angmar is out on the 24th. There are lifetime subscriptions available from Codemasters (£99.99 + retail price of game) but only if you pre-order and only in Europe as far as I know. So If you see your self playing this game for ages (about a year should make it worth it) its the best deal going.
