My Favorite Run Blitz in Madden 2007

Several people have written in asking what my favorite blitz is for stopping the run. My answer, without hesitation, is to recommend OLB Pistols where the outside linebackers blitz the gap between the Tackles and guards. Usually, you can get enough push up the middle to break down a running play. If not, then you have your Middle Linebacker, safeties and cornerbacks to protect against the long run.

So there you go. When you think the run is coming, you can’t go wrong with OLB Pistols. If you’re opponent runs to the outside, trying to grab the corners, then you can send your outside linebackers around the ends instead of up the middle, but this tends to leave you vulnerable up the middle. Regardless, send your OLBs if you really want to stop the run in Madden 2007.
