Microsoft Cancels X07 And Retailers Price UK Elite
The annual European event put on by Microsoft, known as X07 this year, has been cancelled with no reason given. A spokesperson has confirmed that they are looking into holding a UK event with more UK-centric announcements however. No details on the timing of this event have been released except that it’ll be before Christmas.
In other Microsoft related news, retailers HMV, Play and Game have started taking pre-orders for the black Xbox 360 Elite edition and have priced the console at £329.99. Microsoft are doing a Sony and refusing to comment on the pricing saying to Eurogamer that they have “nothing to announce at this time.” The price, if accurate, puts the Elite on a par with the US pricing regime when compared with the Premium edition of the console though us Europeans are still paying more in real terms (by about $200) (From GamesIndustry.biz.)
