Limited Edition Halo 3 boxes Scratch Discs
The limited edition version of Halo 3 may not be worth the extra cash you have to fork out for it after all. Reports from those who have received their copies early have found that unlike the regular green boxes, the metal clad boxes, the disc is held in place with a central clip which is not deep enough to prevent it rattling around in the box. As a result consumers have been open boxes to find their discs pre-scratched and unplayable.

Halo 3 launches tomorrow in the US and on Wednesday in the UK, and according to some sources, the problem with the loose discs is not restricted to one territory though it does only seem to be the $69.99 limited edition games that are affected, with no reports of the $59.99 standard and $129.99 Legendary editions being similarly afflicted/ Microsoft has, as of the time of writing, yet to make any comment regarding the problem, though I doubt they’re very happy about it. I’m gald I’m sticking with the standard edition, who needs the extras when its the game that’s important?
