This is exactly how I got my Wii. Though I didn’t try to do it, I just got lucky. I was in EB looking for a PSP game when the UPS guy arrived. A few minutes later the clerk said they had 3 Wii’s if anyone wanted one. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than smart.

I used outtastock to find my Wii. It was a sports bundle but I was able to return the games so in the end I only paid for the console (not a big fan of sports games).

i used iTracker which is good if your trying to find a Wii at Target. It said it had two in stock and when we went there it was behind the register with other accessories.

so if you see like Remotes or Nunchucks in a box somewhere, they have Wiis. Best 2 dollars I spent.

I did this at Best Buy in BC, Canada. Three times I lined up after hearing of their shipments coming in, for sale the next morning. The first time I lined up (at 7am, Dec 8), I was the first person NOT to get one. The second time I lined up (at 6am, Dec 15), I was the second person not to get one. The third time I lined up (tag-teaming with my wife, starting at 11pm the night before, on Dec 22), I got a note saying I was #18/40 to buy one when the store opened! So I go in, get handed a Wii, go to pay and find out I’m NSF!!! I don’t have the money to buy it!! I had maxed my line of credit and credit cards!!! The stress, the frustration……So, at income tax return time……

Ugh, not pre-ordering the Wii has been the most irresponsible action I have ever done.

Are Wiis arriving a few (say 5) at a time or on a once a week schedule with a larger load?

Either way, it’s refreshing to see I’m not the only one who has called every electronics store in a 50 mile radius. Thanks for the tips .

It’s a great tip, however most stores that I came across (I live in the EU) have reservation lists. I guess you have more stores in the US without that
