Hellgate: London Beta Opens
I’d love to tell you that it will be easy, I’d love to tell you that I managed to sign up for the Hellgate: London Beta, I’d also love to tell you that I was accepted and am now wandering the ravaged streets of London sending the demonic hordes back to the hell they came from, but alas it is not to be.
If you go to www.hellgatelondon.com and attempt to sign up for the beta, you get a 403: Forbidden error. There’s a login box, but no registration link so if you don’t already have an account you’re out of luck. Even the support and forum sections of the website require you to pass through a login screen, again with no registration link. You’re led to believe that pre-ordering will get you a login (simply because theres a big “Preorder Now!” button on the login screen) but any attempt to do so from the Hellgate site takes you to a 404 error.
If this is the standard of service we can expect from the website the it doesn’t really bode well for the rest of the game, nothing to do with flagship of course, EA are the ones in charge of marketing it.
