EA No Longer King Of The Hill
Activision has taken the top spot as the worlds biggest third-party video game publisher. EA has been top dog in video game publishing since time immemorial, making the most of licenses like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings along with franchises such as The Sims. Activision’s success can be put down to the popularity of Guitar Hero and its sequels, with the rock-out simulator and its addons making up almost a fifth of its sales. This brings into question how long they will remain at number one when EA releases Rock Band. (From Gamer Squad.)
