Another Gaming Mouse, This Time Sans Gimmicks
It must be breeding season for gaming mice, yesterday I posted about Microsoft revitalising their Sidewinder brand with a new gaming mouse and today, the undisputed masters of gaming rodentia have announced their latest. The Razer Lachesis seems to be everything that Microsoft’s effort isn’t. Foregoing the extras like adding weights (which you will lose) and an on mouse LCD (why?) the Lachesis’ simple design hides a 4000dpi laser sensor, nine programmable buttons and onboard memory for saving game profiles, oh and it lights up a pretty blue colour too. The high resolution sensor means that even if you move the mouse at 100 inches/sec it’ll still track properly and not send you into a spin (which my mouse does on a regular basis). The Lachesis is due fro release in october for $79.99, no information on a European release or pricing yet, though I imagine that you could order one from the states and it would still work (and be cheaper).
When your name means ‘Bringer of silent death’ in latin, who needs gimmicks?
